Been awhile, so here's on update on Wolfie, super-westie. Well Wolfie's still at it! Chewing his paws as though they are the tastiest morsels in town! Non-stop...at first we thought it was allergies (maybe it still is) but this goes on all the time. I think it is a nervous habit or boredom. When he is busy playing or has a chewy toy, etc., he is all right. I wonder how many owners have had this problem with their dogs? I put some vinegar, then onion, then garlic juice on his paws in the hope that may deter his chewing. Nope! Seems he likes condiments with his favorite snack.
Wolfie has learned to go down the kid's slide...it was his idea after seeing all the kids playing. At first he was a little timid but now he runs down the slide like no big deal. Also, he's taken over our bed. Oh boy, and has he! But he's a real lovey...likes to get as close as possible to warm bodies. Don't dare try to push him away...he pushes back. What a character! He's also learned to open doors by himself. This is a good thing for the most part, but he's opened the bathroom door when we have had guests. He's very nosey, but a crack-up. Hard to ever get mad at him.
